Egyptian Pyramid

For thousands of years, the pyramids of Egypt were the largest man-made structures on earth. The Great Pyramid of Giza is the only remaining example of the Seven Wonders of the World.
Most Egyptian pyramids are have four triangular surfaces that meet at the top, making the base much heavier than the top, and thus, more stable. Originally, most pyramids had a temple or similar structure attached to one side for the purpose of presenting offerings. There are over one hundred thirty five pyramids in Egypt, with more being discovered every decade.
